In 2015, LinkedIn completely overhauled its flagship mobile apps, which led to the upgrade of millions of devices within the two weeks of launch. Throughout this mobile app launch, LinkedIn Analytics team was instrumental in (1) informing product design and feature prioritization via pre-launch strategic and tactical analyses (2) tracking and data validation, and (3) reporting on metrics and post-launch evaluation. How did we manage these massive Android and iOS launches where we could not rely on conventional A/B testing? In this talk, Huangming will share his perspective on analytics challenges, best practices and learnings from different stages of the mobile app launch.
