Presentation: Driving Growth in a Mobile-First World
Pete Roper leads Google’s mobile brand strategy team for N. America. In the role, he is charged with driving the company’s mobile video and rich media ad business as well as activating and launching new products across the Google/YouTube ecosystem. Previously, Pete was VP of Sales for Songza, a mobile music streaming service that serves expertly-curated playlists to users based on their activity. Songza was acquired by Google in July 2014. In the role, Pete launched Songza’s advertising business which included native solutions that allowed brands to take ownership of the moments that matter most for their customers. Forbes named Songza one of the five companies that transformed advertising in 2013.Article Prior to that, Pete has also worked as VP East Coast Brand Sales for Mojiva and as Sr. Director, Digital for industry heavyweight Advertising Age. Pete cut his teeth in the start-up world at Tremor Video, as one of their first sales hires, where he held the position of regional sales manager. Pete is a Maine native and is a graduate of The University of New Hampshire.
